It could be a very intricate piece or a variation of what you see in our catalogue or on our web-site.  Or, perhaps something that is built into your house.

The process is not complicated as it may at first seem and can be a lot of fun.  You will certainly get something quite special at the end.

The Beginning:

Rex Heathcote will be your design contact and guide from conception to birth.  If necessary, a site visit can be arranged to measure and evaluate the work to be be done and to discuss the possibilities.

A design fee is charged only if the job doesn't proceed once the designs have been done.

Drawings:

You tell Rex what you want with perhaps an idea of the style and size and he will do  a concept drawing for you to peruse.  You will make changes and another drawing gets done.  This discussion and drawing goes on until the final design is agreed upon.  From there  a quote is given and if accepted a proper working drawing is produced both for you, the client and the factory to make from.

The wood and/or veneer is selected and any other decorative detail finalised.  A 20% deposit is required prior to production.  Then we are ready to start.

The Making:
At Rex Heathcote Furniture we maintain a high skill  level and working standards are strictly adhered to.  There is an understanding that the smallest detail does not go unnoticed.  The material to be used is carefully selected and treated with care right through the making process.

Delivery:

After receiving the final balance we arrange for your furniture to be delivered.  For Australian deliveries we track the movement every few days.  For overseas deliveries we can make all the necessary arrangements from Launceston.
