When we produce lots of things from wood they all seem to end up looking the same and so does the wood.  This way we don't see the wood or understand where it comes from.

When we stop and take time, look and think about what grows so naturally we see how different trees are.  How they are shaped by their environment and what potential each one has either to be left to mature in the forest or used by man to release one of its potentials.

If that tree has taken 400 years to grow and is then felled to be made into a piece of furniture, why not take the time to make a piece that will be in our world for 500 years.  It's not as if it hasn't been done before.  To do this one requires a certain amount of knowledge and skill in the craft which in turn takes years to master.

Put these two together and it could be a perfect partnership both working together to enhance each others potential.

A piece of furniture crafted with care, affection and respect should remain in the world for a long time to be used, repaired and loved by many...
